First of all I must start with an apology to my blogging friends – I’ve been a bit quiet in terms of visiting blogs and saying hello lately. I can work some pretty erratic hours (makes my work sound mysterious that, doesn’t it?!) and they haven’t been very gardening or blogging friendly lately!
Anyway…I made a promise to myself that I would have a bouquet every month to join in with Noelle over at ‘Ramblings from a Desert Garden’ for her monthly ‘My Garden Bouquet‘ meme. It now occurs to me that it wasn’t the smartest promise to make when you don’t have a lot of flowers in your garden to begin with!
But all is not quite lost, there are a few blooms left to be going on with…so let’s see what can be done for May…
The larger camellia is 'Desire'. Sadly I've forgotten the name of the smaller one.
I was saved by the sun today. I took a few photos of the bouquet when it was overcast and they turned out looking very dull. A bit of sun behind the vase woke things up a little!
Pierre de Ronsard rose is in there too, but at this time of year it is much paler.

Ooh…two of my all-time favorite flowers…camellias and roses! Beautiful arrangement! It makes me miss my camellias. Mine won’t bloom again until late November or December.

Your bouquet doesn’t seem like they are leftovers in the garden, they look like the starters. If you did not tell us the conditions there, these flowers will not betray you. Very lovely, but i do still prefer your post before this! The splendid foliage are screaming for attention, how lovely.

I can totally relate to the busy working schedule. Myself has been quite busy for the last month. We all have the real life and responsibility other than gardening and blogging. LOL. Thanks for dropping by recently with your crazy working schedule.
Your bouquet looks very lovely! Love the color combination of roses, camellias. I envy you have enough flowers to cut. I have been trying to join Noelle’s MGB meme, but with a new garden just started a year ago, I don’t have enough to choose from. With few choices, It just did not come together quite close to what I wanted it to be. So for now, I will keep envy all the beautiful bouquest from afar…

My work schedule has started to calm down a little, so hopefully I will be able to drop in and say ‘Hi’ at everyone’s blogs over the next few days 🙂

I completely missed the bouquet challenge this month — but that’s okay as I’d have had to use broccoli buds, onion flowers, bolted mustard, and garlic scapes. There really is not much blooming in the Victory Garden right now. You did a fantastic job for not having a lot to choose from. 🙂
